Hi. Are you interested in listening to miscellaneous audio recordings of me jamming in my “studio?” Then you’ve come to the right place. This is the first in what will probably be a long series of blog posts dedicated to recordings I’m currently working on. Since I’m in the process of getting Boobs, Butts, and Feets remastered, getting a collection of cover songs out there for you to listen to, and working on new music, I’m always jamming out.
For me, jamming out can be noodling around on a 6 string guitar, or a bass, or even experimenting with beats and synths and electronic sounds. Sometimes I might even jam out on vocals. I don’t always record my guitar playing, but if people seem to enjoy listening and reading about what I’m playing, I’ll do more of these.
Today’s jam session is comprised of a short drum loop and me playing guitar over it. The audio was recorded by my iPhone positioned somewhere between my PC speakers and my guitar amp. All things considered, the actual recording isn’t too bad. Even though it clocks in around 4:30, it doesn’t explore much. It’s mostly just playing around the chugging introduced in the beginning to varying successes. The entire session lasted about 15 minutes, and you’re not missing much by not hearing the other 10 minutes, trust me.
